UK Transit Visa
Overview
If you are passing through the UK on your way to another country, you might need a UK Transit Visa. This visa is necessary for travellers who have a layover in the UK and are not staying longer than necessary to catch their connecting flight. There are two types of UK Transit Visas:
- Direct Airside Transit Visa (DATV): Required if you will not pass through UK border control. This is suitable for those changing flights within the same airport and staying in the airport’s international transit area.
- Visitor in Transit Visa: Required if you will pass through UK border control, possibly to collect luggage or change airports, and leave the UK within 48 hours of your arrival.
Visa Process
Step 1:
Completing online / application form and other supplementary forms.
Step 2:
Creating online case profile.
Step 3:
Payment of applicable visa & biometric fee.
Step 4:
Scheduling the case submission appointments.
Step 5:
Collating all relevant documents including all financial related documents.
Step 6:
Sponsors documents.
Step 7:
Appearing for the visa interview (if called).
Step 8:
Collection of passport.

Biometric Requirments
