Visa Process
Step 1:
Completing application form and other supplementary forms.

4 - 6 working days post submission of application.

Documents Required
- Original passport with minimum 6 months validity prior to submission and with two available blank pages.
- Application form and other supplementary forms (typed & signed by the applicant).
- Any previous / expired passport.
- Day to Day travel / tour itinerary.
- Statement of purpose outlining the intent /reason for travel, travel itinerary, applicants profile etc.
- Evidence of employment / business.
- Evidence of income, savings and investments.
- Evidence of leave approval.
- Sponsorship documents from India (if applicable).
- Sponsorship documents from Japan (if applicable).
- Marriage certificate, children’s birth certificate (if applicable).
- ID docs.
- Flight and hotel reservations to meet visa requirements.
- Travel / Medical insurance to cover duration of trip (recommended).
Frequently asked questions
Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel and have two available blank pages.
It is at the discretion of the visa officer at the Embassy if they wish to call you in for a personal interview or not.
No form of employment is permitted on a Business / Tourist visa.
3 months before your intended date of travel.
Visa approval is at the sole discretion of the visa officer.
Once paid, this visa fee is neither refundable nor is it transferable to anyone else.
Tourist visa is for those applicants whose primary purpose of travel is tourism, meet friends or family, attend social and recreational functions etc.
Business visa is for those applicants whose primary purpose of travel is for official business, attend meetings, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, trainings etc.
