Germany Short Term Student Visa
Overview
Short-Term Student visa is for Indian students who wish to go to GERMANY for a study program for maximum three months duration.
This could be a part of a student exchange program between your institute and a partner institute in Germany, attend training as a student, language course etc.

Step 1:
Completing online / application form and other supplementary forms.
Step 2:
Creating online case profile.
Step 3:
Payment of applicable visa and biometric fee.
Step 4:
Scheduling the case submission appointments.
Step 5:
Collating all relevant documents including all financial related documents.
Step 6:
Procuring invite /sponsorship from institute in Germany and other supporting documents.
Step 7:
Sponsors documents.
Step 8:
Appearing for the visa interview.
Step 9:
Collection of passport.

Documents Required
- Original passport with minimum 3 month’s validity from date of departure from the Schengen area and with two available blank pages.
- Appointment confirmation.
- Online submitted / application form and other supplementary forms.
- Any previous / expired passport.
- Statement of purpose outlining the intent /reason for travel, travel itinerary, applicants profile etc.
- Evidence of employment / business.
- Evidence of income, savings and investments.
- Evidence of leave approval.
- Sponsorship documents from India (if applicable).
- Sponsorship documents from France (if applicable).
- Marriage certificate, children’s birth certificate (if applicable).
- ID docs.
- Travel itinerary.
- Flight and hotel reservations to meet visa requirements.
- Travel / Medical insurance to cover duration of trip (recommended).

3 months before your intended date of travel.
Duration of visa is at the discretion of the visa officer.
On the visa sticker the “number of entries” is indicated: “1”, “2” or “MULT”. The holder of a multiple entry visa (“MULT”) may enter the Schengen area unlimited number of times during the validity of the visa while respecting the rules on duration of stay.
Tourist visa is for those applicants whose primary purpose of travel is tourism, meet friends or family, attend social and recreational functions etc.
Business visa is for those applicants whose primary purpose of travel is for official business, attend meetings, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, trainings etc.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
All applicants have to appear in person in order to provide biometric data (fingerprints and digital photograph) at the scheduled visa submission appointment except:
1: Children under the age of 12.
2: Applicants whose fingerprints were taken in the previous 5 years.
